I told myself not to catch the demoralizing news of GDA ; Golden Disk Award .But I can't help myself , so if you're a Soshi fan , then please don't read .
The few suspicisions about GDA
GDA select 10 team for Main Award based on their sales volume of Disk and Digital source. 60% reflects the sales voume, 20% for internet vote and other 20% by judges' evaluation. The Ceci popular award is a 100% result of popular votes . Last year , it went to SHINee and Super Junior who got #1 and #2 for that award . This year , it's the same case , however the award went to SHINee and Snsd instead . However , the online voting shows a 16% gap difference between Super Junior and SHINee . There is also no saying that it has to be a girl , guy , girl , guy group issue . This damange fans financially too as we have to actually pay money to vote . And if you were to look at album sales , Super Junior definitely wins Snsd hands down with a percentage of 11% more . I'm not going to say that Snsd is not popular or have not worked up , they did , but Super Junior did too , and it's clear they have more fans all over Asia , with Sj-M debuting in Taiwan , China , Hongkong , Sj-KRY having concert in Japan , and of course ranked No .1 in countries like Japan , Korea , China , Taiwan , Malaysia , Singapore .

Before the Daesang was annouced , a manager came to Super Junior's table and whispered to Leeteuk . Leeteuk then shared the whisper to his dongsaengs , immediately , everyone's expression turned blank . Makes me wonder what the whisper was about . After Snsd went up to the stage to get the award , other bands / musicians came to hug Super Junior instead of Snsd ; Now we know Super Junior has lots of friends but isn't it weird that they are still hugging Super Junior when there is a winner on stage ? And right before the GDA Prize was announced , fans were shouting in the background , but Super Junior facial expression did not appear to be happy . Last year’s GDA when Super Junior got Daesang , ALL the artists were dancing to Sorry Sorry together , cause Super Junior deserved it . But this year , nobody really paid any attention to Snsd did they , cause everyone knew it was supposed to be Super Junior who should have won it .And this bit is quite important
So one thing's for sure
Super Junior was supposed to win the Daesang . Cameras and lights were focused on them in advance . Even Teukie got ready. But then in a split second , everything changed . We did not lose the Daesang . Daesang is ours . But we lost to the higher power in the KPop industry that dictates all . Strings were pulled .
Fans coming back from the GDA said that Leeteuk , Heechul , Yesung , Eunhyuk , Donghae , Sungmin , Ryeowook all cried . Which means only Siwon , Kyuhyun and Shindong didn't . Kibum - He wanted to go for a drink , but when he heard the news , he rushed back to the dorm to comfort his Oppas , and the first person he found was Donghae , whom he hugged and they both cried . And Heechul Oppa , thanks for being strong and comforting all the members and especially Leeteuk hyung . Heechul walked backstage when Super Junior was on stage so that elfs wouldn't see him cry .
That night , Leeteuk and Heechul both tweet something on twitter with Leeteuk saying he'll not sleep tonight . It was then reported that Leeteuk really did not sleep and Heechul stayed awake with him . Elfs really tried , but we'll not let the matter rest .
